2011 BCS National Championship Ticket: The Shootout

The 2011 Bowl Championship Series National Championship ticket will provide access to an offensive shootout between the No. 1 Oregon Ducks versus the No. 2 Auburn Tigers. It will be played in Glendale, Arizona on January 10, 2011. A game that have been most anticipated by college football fans around the country for sometime will become official on Sunday.

Both teams earned the right to play the game with blowout victories in their last games. The Tigers won the SEC Championship with a 56-17 victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Ducks defeated rival Oregon State Beavers 37-20 in their rival game that is known as the Civil War. The 2011 BCS National Championship Tickets Glendale 1/10/11 is anticipated great College Football game.

BCS National Championship Bowl game is not official until Sunday, but everyone knows Auburn and Oregon will play in the Championship game; therefore, it time to take a look ahead to a game that will be all about offense. Whatever team can get a stop or two with there defense, then that team should be College Football National Champion.

Auburn Tigers’ Offense is as good as Cam Newton is for that day. He is the heart and soul of the offensive unit. He is the best runner the Tigers have despite having two running backs that each rushed for over 700 yards this season in both Onterio McCalebb and Michael Dyer. Both backs have been able to find the end zone, but not like Cam Newton who has over 20 rushing touchdowns this season.

Newton is better passer than say a Tim Tebow; therefore, defenses cannot consider him just one-dimensional. His three main targets for the season have been Darvin Adams, Terrell Zachery, and Emory Blake. Adams had a big game in the dismantling of the Gamecocks in the SEC Championship game. The three wide receivers are not pushovers as they all capable of the big play, and each have over 400 yards receiving for the season.

Oregon Ducks’ offense is led by their running back LaMichael James. He has rushed for over 1500 yards and 19 touchdowns this season; however, James is not the only weapon found on an offense that can score at will on opposing defenses. Other running backs that will see some playing time in the BCS Title game are Kenjon Barner and Remene Alston. The quarterback Darron Thomas is capable runner who will run the ball when needed, but he is not a Cam Newton.

Darron Thomas has been solid in the passing game and his favorite target has been Jeff Maehl. He is a threat that defenses must be aware of wherever he lines up on the field, because Maehl has 12 touchdown catches and over 800 yards receiving for the season. David Paulson will create a few matchup problems that may be an x-factor to winning their first BCS championship.

The Ducks’ defense may not get as much press as their offense, but they do have a Linebacker corps that throws the timing off for opposing quarterbacks with pressure. The second half of games the defense tend to look like one of the best in the country. They limit opposing offenses’ scoring in the fourth quarter.

The Tigers’ defense can put the clamps on a team. They are great at stopping the run especially the defensive tackle Nick Farley who also will get after the quarterback. The secondary may be suspected; however with the pass rush the defensive line generates, it could mean a lot of errand throws.

There will be a lot of touchdowns scored in this game, and it would not surprise me if this game would be the highest scoring game since the BCS Championship inception. Auburn has a defense that can stuff the run which could spell trouble for Oregon. Oregon has not faced a defense like that of Auburn all season.

The offense of Oregon can keep pace with Auburn and the Tigers have not dealt with an offense on the same echelon as the high-octane offense of Oregon. Oregon has plenty of weapons and Auburn’s success will sit a top of Cam Newton’s shoulders. Newton has proved he can handle the pressure and the BCS Title game will not be an exception. Defense of the Tigers will be the difference maker in this game.

The Tigers win by a touchdown in a high scoring affair. The Tigers will get enough stops to become the third SEC Team to bring the BCS National Championship back to the SEC for a third consecutive year. Florida and Alabama are the other two SEC teams with national titles in the last two years.
