The state of the NBA Playoffs has taken a big swing. OKC Thunder behind a monster game from the dynamic Russell Westbrook tied the Western Conference Finals 2-2. The Miami Heat looks to return to the NBA Finals with a close out opportunity in the Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Thunder has been a totally different team with Serge Ibaka in the lineup. The San Antonio Spurs have not made the correct adjustments to Ibaka in the lineup. OKC looked as if they have the Spurs on the ropes. The Thunder protected their home court, and they must win the Western Conference series on the road. Spurs must find an answer to stop the Thunder rather quickly. Westbrook scored 40 points, dished out 10 assists, and had 5 steals in the Thunder’s 105-92 victory. Spurs will have to find a way to stop the quick and athletic Westbrook from attacking the rim. By drawing even in the series 2-2, the Thunder has made series a hot sports event ticket.

San Antonio Spurs have shown they are ready for a second consecutive trip back to the NBA Finals. However, the NBA MVP, Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma Thunder will try to send the Spurs back to the Lone Star state empty-handed. The task will not be easy, and it does no help that Thunder will not have Serge Ibaka in on the court due to a calf-injury. The Spurs front-line could dominate the boards and could lead them to another Western Conference Championship.

What team will the Miami Heat have to play for the Eastern Conference Finals? I know I am tad bit early or late on the predictions, but who in their right mind feels that any team left in the NBA Playoffs can dethrone King James and the Miami Heat. I stay in the Eastern Conference for now.

Indiana Pacers are big and long but they do not have offensive ammunition to really threaten the Heat. Chicago Bulls are in the same boat. They play great defense; however, the offense is not enough. Well, it leads me to the New York Knicks. Knicks definitely have the offense, but the defense is too inconsistent to say, they will be able beat the Heat in a 7-game series.

Memphis Grizzlies Forces a Game 7 with a 93-85 Victory

Memphis Grizzlies pushes their NBA playoff series to a Game 7 with a 95-83 victory. Zach Randolph great performance extends the Grizzlies playoff run. He scored 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. The Grizzlies played great defense during the game, and they were especially tough when Oklahoma Thunder Kevin Durant was trying to score.

Zach Randolph was making the interior defense of the Thunder looked like some recreation team playing. O.J. Mayo had 16 points and Michael Conley scored 11 points and passed out 12 assists. Grizzlies will to win would not be denied a Game 7.
