Rose Do Not Sleep Still Leads Bulls to a 88-87 Victory

There were games, games galore on Christmas Day.  However, thanks to the floater by last year’s NBA MVP, Derrick Rose, it was possibly the best game of the bunch.  Miami Heat’s fans might not agree.  It was quite grizzly what the Heat did to the Dallas Mavericks on the day the Mavericks raised their NBA Championship banner.  New York and the other Los Angeles team debuted on positive notes.  The Oklahoma City Thunder may challenge for a NBA Title, and defeating the Orlando Magic, it probably made Dwight Howard push harder for a deal to get him out of Orlando.  You had to love the Bulls versus Lakers.

A common theme, Rose’s heroics won the game for the Bulls.  The Lakers looked as if they missed the Triangle Offense.  Kobe needed to score few more points in his sleep to wield his team to victory.  It was the Bulls in comeback fashion winning in LA by the score of 88-87.  Luol Deng along with Rose made the win possible. Deng was good on both sides of the ball especially his defense against Kobe.  Rose finished with 22 points and the game-winning basket; however, Deng’s defense was the catalyst that put the Bulls in place for their first victory.

Chicago has the elements to challenge for the Eastern Conference Championship. It will be interesting to see how well this team will play once Rip Hamilton gets going. By far, the Bulls had a very competitive game to open the season.  It is good to have the NBA back, and there will be more games like the games on Christmas Day.  Bulls will see Rose make a few more fantastic plays to win games.
