I am sure most fans will agree it is first baseball rivalry that comes to mind when you think of the best baseball rivalry. It started as far back when the great Babe Ruth was traded to the New York Yankees. This rivalry is entrenched in baseball history; therefore, this rivalry will forever remain relevant. When you consider Ruth is the Red Sox player that gave legend to the Yankees’ Pinstripes. He will forever be a Yankee in everyone mind andhe truly built Yankee stadium with his fame; however, he was a Boston Red Sox. It is great rivalry that will keep fans coming to Green Monster and Yankee Stadium. Fans already have the dates circled on schedule. However for those who have not I am listing every remaining home game for each team. Watching this rivalry, many young players will want to learn how to add more power to your baseball swing and play for these teams in the future.

Pitcher Bert Blyleven was finally voted into the Hall of Fame. Roberto Alomar is another name that will also make his way into Cooperstown. Blyleven seem to wait forever for the call, but his hard work and accomplishments in the Majors have finally moved the voters. He also has two World Series rings to his credit. He won his first ring with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1979 and won another with the Minnesota Twins in 1987. It took 14 tries but he is in there among the baseball greats as he belongs.

National League provided some dominant pitching. The pitching combined for a six hitter and one run. Tyler Clippard of the Washington Nationals earned the win and San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson earned the save. Prince Fielder’s three-run homerun was more enough for the National League, but it also earned him the National League Most Valuable Player. Fielder will not soon forget 5-1 victory.
